01 — What to include in an enquiry
A useful first message
The more of the following an enquiry contains, the more specific the first reply can be. Nothing here is mandatory, and partial information is still welcome.
- 01
The organisation
Who you are and the nature of the business or activity the software supports.
- 02
The situation now
The systems currently in use and how the work is done today, including manual steps.
- 03
The difficulty
What is not working well: cost, time, errors, capacity, reliability or an inability to change something.
- 04
The outcome sought
What a good result would look like, described in terms of the business rather than the technology.
- 05
Constraints
Existing platforms, internal standards, regulatory obligations, budget range or a date that matters.
- 06
Who is involved
Whether there is an internal technical team, and who will be part of decisions.
02 — Response expectations

What happens after you write
Enquiries are reviewed in the order they arrive and answered as soon as the relevant people have read them. No specific response time is promised, because the time required varies with the volume of enquiries and with how much of the question can be answered without further investigation.
A first reply will normally either ask clarifying questions, outline how the situation might be approached, or explain that the request falls outside the company's scope. Where the subject is a good fit, the next step is usually a short discovery conversation to establish scope before anything is proposed in detail.
Enquiries that do not relate to the company's services may not receive a reply.
03 — Privacy notice for email correspondence
Email you send may contain personal data
Messages sent to the address published on this page may contain personal data, such as your name, your email address, your job title, the name of your organisation and any further details you choose to include in the body of the message or in attachments.
That information is processed for the purpose of reading, assessing and responding to your enquiry, and for any subsequent correspondence connected with it. It is kept only as long as it is needed for that purpose or for a period required by applicable law.
Email is transmitted and stored by third-party email infrastructure, and standard email is not an encrypted channel end to end. Please do not include credentials, payment card details, health information or other sensitive material in an initial enquiry. If you need to share confidential information, say so in your message and a suitable arrangement can be discussed.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you have sent by email, by writing to the same address. The Privacy Policy page sets out the company's wider data handling practices.
